Would you like to make the Louise babydoll and/or the Laura shorts without lace? Here's an easy-to-follow tutorial.
This hack gives you the chance to make even more designs using the same pattern(s).
This technique can also be used to make cuffs, hems, etc. and can be adapted to other patterns.
We've opted for a slightly more sophisticated style to create a coordinated satin set, but you can also create the set in other materials such as cotton, etc. If you want to play with prints and plain colours, that's also possible - let your creativity run wild!
We love each other!

Materials required
- fabric: jersey, satin, cotton, silk ...
- wire
- a sewing machine or serger
- The Louise babydoll pattern - model A - neckpiece 3A
- The Laura shorts pattern
Preparing your pattern pieces
Follow the step-by-step instructions below:
Pre-assembly of the different parts to form the neckline of the Louise babydoll - part 3A

Shape the neckline as described in the pattern assembly range and continue to assemble the Louise pattern following the instructions provided.
And that's the neckline finished.
At the bottom of the babydoll make a simple little hem or follow the instructions in the hack for the shorts pattern described below.
Pre-assembly of the various parts to form the thighs of the Laura shorts

Superimpose the 2 ends location on location and join using a straight stitch on your sewing machine or an overlock stitch on a serger.

Mark the markings at the bottom of the shorts and the finishing band: middle front, middle back and side lines.

Place the edging strip on the bottom of the shorts right sides together, matching the different markings - with the edging strip assembly seam positioned on the assembly seam on the inside of the leg.
Join with a straight stitch and overcast or overlock stitch

And that's the end of the shorts.
