A very comfortable knit, this fabric has a very (very) slight mechanical stretch in the width direction; that's why I distinguish it from marquisette. But it comes very close. 100% stable in the straight direction.
Please note that this fabric does not contain elastane or spandex; it is not stretchable and has no mechanical stretch as we know it. It belongs to the family of so-called stabilising textiles. It is not a stretch tulle or stretch knit.

This textile does not contain elastane or spandex but has a mechanical stretch in 2 directions (known as 4 senses in English-speaking countries).
It's ideal when you're looking for comfort when doubling up on bra cups; the stretch will provide flexibility/comfort, but at the expense of support, which is especially important for larger cup sizes.
