    The MILA swimming costume is a feminine one-piece swimming costume, available in several finishes. The swimming costume has a very comfortable and elegant "curvy" shape that will adapt to your morphology. Each size is available in 2 cup sizes B/C or D/E.

    Each version is available with breast darts and is lined in the front. Different cut-outs are possible and add a sophisticated touch.

    You can choose between :
    - 3 front versions
    - 2 back versions with different types of knotting

    The models are presented as follows:

    - model A : one-piece swimming costume, classic shape
    - model B : swimming costume with horizontal yoke in the front underlining the waist
    - model C : swimming costume with horizontal underbust yoke and full cups. This model is available with a cup lining that allows the insertion of foam. This is the most supportive model.

    You can reverse the type of back to your liking. They are interchangeable on each model!

    The Léo pattern is designed for men. A practical and comfortable pair of swimming shorts. They're also easy to wear as a casual, fashionable piece of clothing.

    You can choose between 2 versions:
    - model A: Bermuda-style mid-length shorts.
    - model B: short shorts.

    Each version includes options:
    - 1 - two side pockets
    - 2 - a patch pocket on the back
    - 3 - mesh inner briefs

    The waistband is elasticated with a drawstring.

    We designed the Léo shorts to be both functional and elegant.
    The finishes are designed to be professional!

    Made from a warp and weft fabric, the Léo shorts are easy to make, provided you have a few notions of sewing and know how to use a sewing machine.
    If you are a beginner, we advise you to make the pattern without the options: pockets, inner briefs - which make assembly more complicated.

    The shop also sells the right textiles to make these shorts. All you have to do is get started!

Confectionner son propre maillot de bain est un projet de couture accessible avec le bon patron. Chez Idonim, nous proposons des patrons de maillot de bain pour femme et homme : bikini, une pièce et short de bain. The choice is yours. On each pattern you can choose a pdf pattern or a shipped pattern.

How do I sew elastic onto a swimming costume?

Which thread should I use to sew a swimming costume?

Concerning the wireit is preferable to use a polyester yarn or a special stretch yarnPolyester yarns are ideal for seams because they are resistant to water and wear, yet flexible enough to support the elasticity of the fabric. Polyester thread is also ideal for preventing the seam from tearing when stretched. Don't forget to adjust the tension on your sewing machine and use a special needle for stretch fabrics for best results.

What fabric for a swimming costume?

Le tissu le plus couramment utilisé pour un maillot de bain est le lycra fabric or elastaneIt offers great elasticity and a perfect fit to the body, while being lightweight and chlorine-resistant. The neoprene is also popular for certain models, especially those designed for activities such as diving, because it is thicker and has better thermal insulation. The polyester is also a durable choice, resistant to the effects of sun and chlorine.
