This method can also be used for <strong>making swimming costume straps<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Here's how to make them ...<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You'll find bras that have part of their straps made from NON-EXTENSIBLE bands\/straps - in this case a section of strap, often on the back, will be made from a traditional stretch strap. The whole thing is assembled using rings and adjusters that have been skilfully put together. In this case, the band will also be positioned on the bias of the fabric.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Supplies<\/h1>\n<p>Supplies used in the tutorial<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>lycra fabric<\/li>\n<li>a rubber band - in our tutorial we'll be using laminette - always use strong rubber bands with a good rebound\/shrinkage coefficient<\/li>\n<li>a bias turn or safety pin<\/li>\n<li>a sewing machine or optional serger<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>The tutorial and its tips<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">To make 15mm wide straps, use approx. 12mm laminate. Draw and cut two strips of <strong>2.5 x width of elastic band<\/strong> and the length of each strap - in our case 3.5cm x 1m<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The stretch of the fabric will be placed in the direction of the length of the strap, i.e. the strip of fabric.
